4D Scar Reconstruction & Aesthetic Surgery
The Life Changing Experience
About 4D Scar Reconstruction4D (Definitive Depth Dynamic Detachment) Scar Reconstruction is pioneered by Dr Sin Yong with an aim to erase scars from disease or accidents from our lives. These scars need not be carried with us all the time and can be treated expediently with their targeted treatment. Dr Sin Yong is currently the only doctor in Singapore capable of delivering this technique for scar revision. 4D Scar Revision programme utilises mutiple modalities to target ice pick, boxcar and rolling scars all on the same setting. Needless to say, it comes with a degree of downtime as we revise the scars to make them significantly less obvious. Treatment results are PERMANENT, and do not employ the use of any fillers. This is a definitive one time solution for acne scars. |
What Kind of Results Do I Expect?
In this treatment programme, it is a minimally invasive surgical scar revision that utilises different modalities to bring about a life changing experience for our patients hit by acne scars or even scars from accidents. You might have done other treatments and felt that the improvement on the scars ranges from 1% - 10%.
4D (Definitive Depth Dynamic Detachment) Scar Reconstruction defies all of this.
With consistent patient satisfaction where they notice up to 80% improvement with just one single treatment session.
*These are patients who have tried lasers, energy based devices, microneedling, fillers etc etc but have only experienced limited improvement.

How The Scars Look Post Reconstruction
How Do I Know My Severity?
What kind of downtime do I expect?Depending on the degree of your scarring, patients typically experience between 3 days - 14 days of downtime, which can consist of scabbing, bruising, swelling. Additional skin changes of redness, or swelling can persist up to one month depending on the intensity of treatment. Potential risks include bleeding, collection of blood under the skin, infection, scarring, nerve damage and swelling.
With the amount of local anaesthesia involved to numb the area, there is significant swelling around the treated area for the first 24 hours. A dressing will be placed on the incision point and should only be removed after 48 hours. The face can be washed as per normal from 48 hours onwards. Some patchy numbness on areas treated is expected and will normalise within 3 months of procedure. Moisturisation and sunblock is also just as important. |

Dr Sin Yong's RecommendationsAssessment of whether you require the 4D Scar Revision is required before you embark on it. You must be comfortable with the relative downtime before we can proceed on this to make the scars way less obvious than before. Beware of other treatments that tout improvement through fillers / injection of substances within, these other treatments will only be temporary and require regular maintainance.
Depending on your degree and type of scarring, sometimes one single modality is all that is needed rather than the full 4D Scar Reconstruction programme. **Always ask your treating doctor for before and after of patient scars that they have treated, to know the degree of improvement that you may obtain.
